It is a pleasure to invite you to participate in the 8th edition of the interdisciplinary conference "Biomolecules and Nanostructures", to be held in hotel Forest in Krakow, starting on June 14th 2023 in the evening and ending on June 18th in the morning (Wednesday to Sunday). The conference is dedicated to the memory of Professor Marek Cieplak. The conference is organized by the Institute of Physics of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw.
The key topics of the conference cover current subjects at the crossroads of molecular biology, physics, and chemistry, including biomolecules, nanostructures, nanomachines, and biosensors. The specific topics of "Biomolecules and Nanostructures 8" will include: - single-molecule manipulation - liquid–liquid phase separation - bio-nano interfaces - proteins in viral capsids - all-atom and coarse-grained molecular models - intrinsically disordered proteins - assembly of protein complexes - interactions between nucleic acids and proteins and other issues related to molecular biophysics and biochemistry, both experimental and theoretical.
Many distinguished scientists have agreed to give invited talks, as listed at: http://www.nanofun.edu.pl/bionano8/#speakers The list of the oral presentations is not final. In particular, a few short talks will be selected from the submitted abstracts. "Biomolecules and Nanostructures 8" in Krakow is the eighth conference in a series of almost 20-year tradition. The previous editions took place in Bedlewo near Poznan in Greater Poland, Pultusk near Warsaw in Mazovia, Jaroszowice near Krakow in Lesser Poland, Podlesice in Polish Jura, and in the Kashubian village of Pomlewo. An overview of the scope and plenary speakers of the previous conferences (2004, 2006, 2011, 2013, 2015, 2017, and 2019) is available at
http://www.nanofun.edu.pl/bionano7/previous-editions-bio-nano.html
The conference will take place in the beautiful historic city of Krakow in hotel Forest, located near the Przegorzaly Castle and Tower on the Castle Hill. The Przegorzały Castle, known as the "Bastion", was built by the Polish art historian Adolf Szyszko-Bohusz as his own residence in the 1920s. Przegorzaly is a town in the Zwierzyniec district of Krakow, located 6.5 km west of the city center at the edge of the Wolski Woods, east of Bielany and west of the Kościuszko Mound, overlooking the Vistula river. It is home to several nature reserves and has retained a semi-rural character. The driving distance from the airport in Krakow is about 11 km and from the Krakow Glowny railway station about 10 km. The number of participants is limited to 150. The registration will be on the first-come first-served basis.

Biomath is an international series of conferences devoted to recent research in life sciences based on applications of mathematics as well as mathematics applied to or motivated by biological studies. It is a multidisciplinary meeting forum for researchers who develop and apply mathematical and computational tools to the study of phenomena in the broad fields of biology, ecology, medicine, biophysics, biochemistry, pharmacokinetics, chemoinformatics, biotechnology, bioengineering, environmental science, etc.
What does Biomath 2023 offer • Presentations by top class keynote speakers • Opportunity to share your research via a contributed talk, a poster or both. • Opportunity to publish in the journal Biomath (SJR 2021: 0.246, Scopus, DOAJ, MathSciNet, zbMATH), https://biomath.math.bas.bg/biomath/index.php/biomath • Opportunity to meet and interact with researchers in this interdisciplinary area, build links, establish collaborative networks. • School for Young Scientists for kick starting an academic career in Biomathematics. • Research stimulating environment in the setting of a pleasant and a care-free ambiance of a Black Sea resort. • Lots of history going back millennia, unique local culture and cuisine.

We would like to inform you the following three important topics of ICIAM 2023: The 10th International Congress on Industrial and Applied Mathematics, Waseda University, Tokyo, Japan, August 20-25, 2023 https://iciam2023.org 1. Minisymposium Proposals/Contributed Talks deadline extended 2. Call for Posters 3. Financial Support 1. Minisymposium Proposals/Contributed Talks deadline extended Due to many requests, the deadline for abstract submission of minisymposium proposals and contributed talks for ICIAM 2023 has been extended to February 20, 2023. Calls for Minisymposia and Contributed Talks have been announced: https://iciam2023.org/1030 * Conference Format Every meeting at ICIAM 2023 will be held at Waseda University *in person*, and the conference program will be arranged in Japan Standard Time. For participants who have to attend the conference online for appropriate reasons, all conference rooms are capable of hybrid-style meetings. * Minisymposia What is a Minisymposium: A minisymposium is composed of one or a few sessions (up to three or four sessions) of coordinated presentations on a single topic of interest and importance in industrial and applied mathematics. Each session within a minisymposium should include four presentations in two hours. Each speaker should be allotted 25 minutes for their presentation, with an additional 5 minutes for discussion. Important Dates: All deadlines are at midnight AoE (Anywhere on Earth). - Closing date for submissions of proposals: February 20, 2023 (extended) - Acceptance notification for proposals: within one month after submission of each proposal - Closing date for submissions of abstracts from speakers: April 20, 2023 * Contributed Talks What is a Contributed Talk: Contributed talks in lecture format are invited in all areas consistent with the congress themes covering topics in industrial and applied mathematics. A contributed talk is a 15-minute oral presentation, with additional 5 minutes for discussion. Important Dates: All deadlines are at midnight AoE (Anywhere on Earth). - Closing date for submissions: February 20, 2023 (extended) - Notification of decisions: within two months after submission For more details for minisymposia and contributed talks, please see "Calls for Minisymposia and Contributed Talks": https://iciam2023.org/1030 2.
