We are delighted to announce our annual conference will be a 2 day event held in Nottingham, UK. We warmly welcome participants from academia, industry and charity groups to join us for some fascinating research talks, networking sessions and panel discussions.

When: 10 - 11 January 2024
Registration deadline: 4th December 2023

Professor Simon Johnson, University of Nottingham
Professor Jacky Smith, University of Manchester
Professor Martin Clift, Swansea University

One of our objectives is to showcase high quality scientific research in this field and encourage researchers of all levels, particularly ECRs to present their research.
We invite you to submit an abstract for an oral presentation. We welcome submissions that fall within our four core themes as well as our wider research remit. The planned conference sessions will be based around the following topics

  • Biophysical mechanisms in airways disease
  • Improving treatment delivery and clinical trial design
  • Lung function measurement, monitoring, and biomarker discovery
  • Applications and new developments of lung imaging
  • The role of pulmonary mechanics and modelling in critical care
  • Blood flow, perfusion, and conditions affecting the pulmonary vasculature, including COVID-19.
  • Environmental determinants of lung health and the health impacts of inhaled particles

Your abstract must be 350 words maximum and can include 1 figure or table and references. Please note if your submission is accepted your abstract will be posted on our website and programme as part of the conference proceedings. It is your responsibility to ensure you have permission of any co-authors to present the abstract if accepted.
