My collaborator Kathleen Lois Foster (Department of Biology, Ball State University http://www.comparativebiomechanics.com/) and I are very happy to announce the Data Science Week 2023, which will take place from November 27th to December 1st 2023.

Keynote Speakers
There will be several speakers who will deliver talks live (from WebEx) at specific times (stay tuned). The list includes:

Posters and Short Talks
Students or researchers will have the possibility to submit posters or pre-recorded short talks (5 minutes) that will be available during the entire duration of the conference on the website of the meeting and in our virtual rooms. Please, encourage your students to submit their work, as it is a good occasion for them to get broader recognition for their awesome skills!

Panel
The last day of the conference will see a panel discussion on the theme of data science with representatives from academia and industry. The list of panelists includes:

Data Science for the Biological Sciences Workshop
During the conference, we will hold a workshop on the use of R to answer questions emerging in biology. The lectures are tailored for students in the biological sciences, but are open to the general audience.

Please, feel free to diffuse the information to anybody who might be interested. We really welcome participation and submissions from students and interested researchers from your institution!
