About the job
Technology Innovation Institute (TII) is a publicly funded research institute, based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. It is home to a diverse community of leading scientists, engineers, mathematicians, and researchers from across the globe, transforming problems and roadblocks into pioneering research and technology prototypes that help move society ahead.

Biotechnology Research Centre
The Biotechnology Research Center (BRC), part of the Technology Innovation Institute (TII), was established to contribute to UAE research priorities across several emerging fields, utilizing molecular, cellular and digital technologies to develop the human expertise and biotech sovereignty of the emirates. The BRC is addressing unmet needs in advanced bio-robotics, in environmental applications such as new desalination and agricultural technologies, and it aims to enable better healthcare outcomes through molecular and genomic strategies, and AI enhanced bioinformatics and biomedicine.

Responsibilities:
Develop disease specific mathematical/computational models to describe the disease progress.
Use available methods for parameter estimation, sensitivity analysis, assessment of model credibility.
Collaborate with the biotech center (BRC) wet-lab facilities to request/conduct experiments at the cell level to set up and validate computational methods.
Assist in scouting activities in local/international pharmaceutical companies to identify exploitable results.
Contribute to securing relevant Intellectual Property on the team’s projects
Assist team members with constructive criticisms of manuscripts preparation, rehearsals of talks, etc.
Contribute to team meetings by reporting ongoing works and giving feedback to colleagues on their progress reports.
