Biotechnology Research Centre
The Biotechnology Research Center (BRC), part of the Technology Innovation Institute (TII), was established to contribute to UAE research priorities across several emerging fields, utilizing molecular, cellular and digital technologies to develop the human expertise and biotech sovereignty of the emirates. The BRC is addressing unmet needs in advanced bio-robotics, in environmental applications such as new desalination and agricultural technologies, and it aims to enable better healthcare outcomes through molecular and genomic strategies, and AI enhanced bioinformatics and biomedicine.

Job Responsibilities:
Develop PK/PD or PB/PK or QSP mathematical models to describe the ADME effects of drugs.
Use available methods for parameter estimation, sensitivity analysis, assessment of model credibility.
Collaborate with the biotech center (BRC) wet-lab facilities to request/conduct bio-chemical experiments necessary to set up and to validate the pharmacometrics models.
Be involved in scouting activities in local/international pharmaceutical companies to identify exploitable results.
Contribute to securing relevant Intellectual Property on the team’s projects

Good level knowledge of specific pharmacometrics and systems pharmacology software tools (e.g., NONMEM, PKSIM, MonolixSuite)
Basic understanding of molecular and cell biology
Good level knowledge of computer programming in a high-level environment (e.g., R, Matlab, Python) is a plus
Good-level knowledge clinical trial pharmacometrics
Good track record of scientific publications
Prior work with regulatory filings in a pharmaceutical company is a plus
Demonstrable abilities for effective English written and oral communication.
