We are seeking two talented researchers in Applied Mathematics to join our School of Mathematics. You will have an excellent research record, an aspiration to obtain external research funding and a passion for delivering first-class inspirational teaching and supervision within a research-intensive university.

We are particularly keen to receive applications from individuals with one or more of the following strengths:

  • Expertise in one or more areas of Mathematical Biology, e.g. Evolutionary Dynamics, Theoretical Ecology, Biophysics, Immunology.
  • Ability to build links beyond Applied Mathematics, e.g. with industrial, professional and public sector organisations, engineering, materials science, physics, chemistry, medicine and health, climate or environmental science.
  • Ability to develop teaching or research links with statistics or data science.
