The summer school titled "From Cells to Tissues: Models, Analysis and Applications" will take place at the Fondazione Alessandro Volta, on Lake Como, from June 10 to June 14, 2024.
This summer school will offer lectures delivered by researchers whose scientific activity centres around theoretical aspects and applications of mathematical models of cell and tissue mechanobiology. The school will be open to PhD students and postdocs and the application deadline is March 31, 2024.

Places are available on the Bristol Medical School online short course: Essentials of Infectious Disease Modelling and Economic Evaluation Date: 17-18 June 2024 Cost: £440
Mathematical modelling is an important tool that can be used to understand the dynamics of infectious diseases. Academics working within Bristol Medical School, including those who tutor on the course, are involved in international research on human and zoonotic infectious diseases to help understand epidemics and predict the future burden of diseases, as well as the impact of different control measures to inform policy.
This course aims to cover the essentials of infectious disease modelling including economic evaluation. The course will provide attendees with the ability to start understanding modelling studies and work with modellers. “Great examples, support and moderation in break rooms. Excellent material and excellent professors” – course feedback
Our online courses are delivered by topic specialists within the Bristol Medical School and provide continued access to online learning materials and recordings for a further 3 months after the course.
