We are proud to announce the Reinhart Heinrich Doctoral Thesis Award 2009 which is to be presented to the student submitting the best doctoral thesis in any area of Mathematical and Theoretical Biology.
ESMTB will honour the best thesis (showing the most impressive modelling ideas and useful innovative methods) with an award.

ESMTB travel support 2009

As in the previous two years, ESMTB supports travel to mathematical/theoretical biology meetings. The application deadline for 2009 is June 30. Please see pdf for details.
 

New ESMTB Board and President

The election of the Board of the Society is now over, and we welcome Andreas Deutsch (Germany), Miguel Herrero (Spain), Peter Jagers (Sweden), Daphne Manoussaki (Greece), and Andrea Pugliese (Italy) on the new Board. They take office from 1 January 2009 and will be accompanied by continuing board members Carlos Braumann (Portugal), Christine Jacob (France), Eva Kisdi (Finland), Jean-Christophe Poggiale (France), and Hans Westerhoff (The Netherlands).

The new ESMTB president is Carlos Braumann who will take over the position of former ESMTB president Wolfgang Alt.
